Doggy quilt

This is a cheater cloth but I knew the niece's little boy would love it since it looks like his dog. So I free motion quilted around the dogs...(ok, that was ENOUGH!!)and still have to sew down the binding...

Purse

It really helps if you have a pattern, which I did not...It also helps if you applique the flower on BEFORE you assemble the purse...live and learn!

Project for birthday gifts

Used up some of the extra minky fabric to make a mini teddy bear...so soft.
For my niece's two children

This is the next baby quilt

This is the back fabric
The quilting...is a modified design from a book.

For the same friend...who delivered a healthy baby boy last month. These are all lovely soft batiks and the bird and branch are a lovely addition. She has decided to hang this one on the wall. The back shows the fabric for the other sewn items in the room.

Been so busy...

The quilting

The minkee...

This is the baby quilt for my friend who lost her first baby. I put it aside and she asked if I would go ahead and finish it....I quilted it on the long arm at the local quilt shop - which helped improve the look of it I think...I wasn't too sure about these fabrics, and the minkee...whooowee - that stuff really stretches...

Just binding left to stitch....

Star Quilt Along

WHEW~~ Finally finished this Star Quilt Along for my son's graduation gift. I finished it June 10, at 10pm. Graduation was June 11 at 8 am.
I quilted it on a long arm machine at a local quilt shop - which was a blast. The owner let me pick the quilting pattern so I picked a pattern with stars and loops which wasn't too difficult.
